Black Clover (ブラッククローバー, Burakku Kurōbā?) is a shōnen manga written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata. It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since , and its chapters have been collected into tankōbon volumes by Japanese publisher Shueisha. The French version is published by Kazé and then by Crunchyroll.

An anime television series adaptation by studio Pierrot aired from , to . The series consists of 170 episodes adapting volumes 1 to 27. In French-speaking countries, the first season of 51 episodes was broadcast in French dub from , to , on Game One. The anime is also re-broadcast in French dub starting , on J One. Then on , on VOD on Toonami. New episodes in French dub have been airing on Toonami since , from episode 51 to 102. An animated film titled Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King was released on , on Netflix.

Asta is a determined young boy who lives with his childhood friend, Yuno, in an orphanage in the Clover Kingdom. Since childhood, Asta has dreamed of becoming the most powerful magician in the kingdom, the "Wizard King," which also inspired Yuno to desire the same. Unfortunately, Asta was born without any magical talent, while Yuno possesses spectacular predispositions.

When they turn 15, all young people in the kingdom are invited to a ceremony where they receive their grimoire. While Yuno receives the legendary grimoire with a four-leaf clover, considered a myth since legend has it that the first Wizard King also used a grimoire with a four-leaf clover, Asta receives nothing. After the ceremony, Yuno is attacked by a bandit who wants to steal his grimoire to try and resell it.

Asta sets out to save him but finds himself in difficulty; fortunately, he is saved by a mysterious grimoire with a five-leaf clover and a large rusty sword, symbolizing the demon.

Asta and Yuno promise each other to fight for the title of Wizard King. As their paths diverge on the road to becoming Magic Knights, their goal remains the same: to become the next Wizard King.
